Philadelphia Union unveils United We Play pre-match top celebrating league diversity

Philadelphia Union, in partnership with Major League Soccer and adidas, have announced the release of the 2025 United We Play Pre-Match Top. The new apparel will be available for purchase both online and at physical stores starting this weekend.

The United We Play Top is designed to highlight the diversity present in soccer, referencing the more than 80 countries represented by players on the field. According to the announcement, “United All Together over One Common Passion – the Love of the Beautiful Game. the ‘United We Play’ Top Reminds Us to Celebrate Diversity Alongside the 80+ Countries Represented on the Pitch.”

The team statement also notes that Major League Soccer has grown from modest beginnings into what it describes as “the most diverse professional soccer league in the world” in less than three decades. “The Top Celebrates What Started As a Humble, but Proud Soccer League That in less than 30 Years Has Become the Most Diverse Professional Soccer League in the World,” reads another portion of the release.

Philadelphia Union players will wear this new warmup top during their upcoming match against Toronto FC. Fans interested in purchasing can do so online or at Subaru Park’s Union Shop on game day.
