Philadelphia Union will begin their campaign in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup with an away match against Defence Force FC on February 18, kicking off at 6 p.m. ET at Hasely Crawford Stadium. The return leg is scheduled for February 26 at Subaru Park, starting at 7 p.m. ET.
Concacaf has also released details for the Round of 16. If Philadelphia advances, they will host either Club América or Club Olimpia Deportivo on March 10 before playing the second leg away on March 18. The specific times for these matches will be confirmed after the completion of Round One.
The Union were placed in the A8 position through a double-blind draw process involving four pots. This marks their fourth appearance in the Concacaf tournament, earned by winning the 2025 MLS Supporters’ Shield.
Currently ranked 11th out of 187 teams in the Concacaf Club Ranking Index, Philadelphia secured their spot in this year’s tournament by clinching their second Supporters’ Shield title. The club has previously reached the semifinals twice, in 2020 and 2022. They are one of nine Major League Soccer teams competing in this edition of the Champions Cup, which features a total of 27 teams and runs from February to May 2026.
Defence Force FC qualified as the third-place winner in the Caribbean Cup on December 3 and holds a record as Trinidad and Tobago’s most successful team with 20 national championships. They remain the only team from Trinidad and Tobago to have won a Concacaf club title, achieving this distinction in both 1978 and as part of a treble-winning season in 1985.
Ticket sale information for Philadelphia’s home match will be announced in January.
