Tournament season is ongoing for the Philadelphia Union Summer Select teams. This past weekend, the older age groups participated in the Lititz Summer Showcase, an annual competitive youth soccer tournament in Lititz, Pennsylvania. The event is hosted by PA Classics, a leading youth soccer club in the region.

Five Union teams competed at the showcase and achieved notable results with two gold finishes and one silver. The weekend was not just about winning medals but also about strong performances and continued growth for all athletes involved.

Patrick Kelleher, PPP Boys Director, commented on the importance of these events: “We’re proud of all of our teams in this older age group. These high school kids have an amazing edge on the competition entering the fall season. Any coach would be proud to have them on their high school squad.”

The medal-winning teams were:

– 2008 Boys Bedoya – Gold
– 2009 Boys Quinn – Gold
– 2010 Boys Blake – Silver

Other teams that delivered strong performances included:

– 2008 Boys Gazdag
– 2010 Boys Wagner

The players demonstrated class, competitiveness, and unity throughout their matches. The Union Summer Select program focuses on development through challenge, and more tournaments are expected soon.
