Philadelphia Union has signed Neil Pierre to a short-term agreement. The homegrown defender will be available for the club’s match against the Colorado Rapids. He is classified as an off-roster Homegrown player for the team.

According to the 2025 MLS Roster Rules and Regulations, off-roster Homegrown Players cannot participate in MLS League Season competition except as short-term call-ups. These players can appear in up to six MLS League Season matches per season as short-term call-ups. To qualify as an Off-Roster Homegrown player, individuals must be 21 years old or younger during a calendar year. Players may continue to be Off-Roster Homegrowns if they remain on their initial MLS contract and meet age limitations. This marks the ninth call-up for Philadelphia Union in 2025, with no appearances yet in a league match.
