Philadelphia Union has secured a place in the 2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, becoming the first team from the Eastern Conference to clinch a postseason berth this year. The club achieved this after defeating FC Cincinnati 1-0 on Saturday night and benefiting from a scoreless draw between Columbus Crew and New York Red Bulls.
This marks the seventh time in eight years that Philadelphia Union will compete in the playoffs. They join San Diego FC as one of only two teams to have locked in a spot so far for the 2025 postseason.
With five games left in the regular season, Philadelphia Union is still competing for the Supporters’ Shield. Their next match is an away game against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday, September 13, with kickoff scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.
