Philadelphia Union has become the first team from Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference to secure a spot in the 2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. The team clinched its postseason berth after a road victory against FC Cincinnati on August 30, marking their seventh playoff appearance in eight years. Alongside Western Conference club San Diego FC, Philadelphia Union is one of only two teams to have secured a place in this year’s playoffs so far.

Full Season Ticket Members of the Philadelphia Union are guaranteed access to purchase tickets for the upcoming playoffs. Fans interested in priority access can sign up through the club’s official channels.

With five matches left in the regular season, Philadelphia Union continues its campaign for the Supporters’ Shield and will face Vancouver Whitecaps FC on September 13. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.

The playoff format includes 18 clubs, with the top nine from each conference qualifying. Seeds one through seven gain direct entry into the Round One Best-of-3 Series, while seeds eight and nine compete in a single-match Wild Card round hosted by the higher seed. The postseason begins in late October, and the MLS Cup Final is set for December 6.

On Decision Day, October 18, all 30 MLS clubs will play their final regular season matches simultaneously—Eastern Conference games starting at 3 p.m. PT and Western Conference games at 6 p.m. PT.

Wild Card matches take place on October 22, followed by Round One Best-of-3 Series running from October 24 to November 9. All participating teams are guaranteed at least one home game during this round.

Conference Semifinals are scheduled for November 22–23 and will be single-elimination games hosted by teams with better regular-season records. The Conference Finals occur on November 29–30 to determine who advances to compete for the league title.

The championship match, known as MLS Cup presented by Audi, will be held on December 6 with hosting rights awarded based on regular-season performance.

Fans worldwide can watch every postseason match—including MLS Cup—on MLS Season Pass through Apple TV across multiple devices and platforms (https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/how-to-watch-stream-major-league-soccer). Select games will also air on FOX Sports in the United States and TSN/RDS in Canada.

Further details about playoff brackets and broadcasts will be announced later. Additional information is available at www.MLSsoccer.com.
