Philadelphia Union has recalled midfielder CJ Olney Jr. from Lexington SC, the club announced on September 11, 2025. Olney, 18, returns to the team after spending time with the USL club.

Olney signed a homegrown contract with Philadelphia Union on August 6, 2024, and made his debut for the team against Charlotte FC on June 22, 2024. Before joining Lexington SC on loan in July 2025, he played regularly for Philadelphia Union II, making 57 appearances and recording 12 goals and 18 assists over three seasons. The club first announced his loan move on July 11, 2025.
