The Philadelphia Union will host “U Thank U,” an event to honor fans, on October 4. The celebration is sponsored by Independence Blue Cross and will take place during the team’s match against New York City FC. The game is important for the Union as they compete for the top position in the Supporters’ Shield race and aim to secure first place in the Eastern Conference.

As part of the festivities, fans attending the match at Subaru Park can participate in several activities and promotions. Before kickoff, special gift boxes containing gift cards from local businesses such as Chick-Fil-A, PJ Whelihan’s, or Giant will be hidden throughout Subaru Plaza. These boxes are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Union Shop will offer a 40% discount on sideline apparel. The store opens at 5 p.m. via the plaza entrance until 5:55 p.m., then reopens at 6 p.m. from the concourse and remains open until half an hour after the game ends.

Fans can also enter a gameday raffle through the Philadelphia Union App presented by Theta Network. After downloading and registering on the app, participants must allow push notifications to receive alerts about winning prizes during halftime. Winners are instructed to visit Ticket HQ by Section 111 to claim their rewards.

During halftime, parachutes branded with IBX will drop various prizes—including gift cards, scarves, and jerseys—from above. Some fans will also be selected for a Crossbar Challenge on the field at halftime; winners may have their season tickets covered by the team.

After the match concludes, there will be an item toss from field level for those who remain in attendance.

A spokesperson for Philadelphia Union said: “The Boys in Blue will take on New York City FC as they fight to maintain the top spot in the Supporters’ Shield race and secure the East!”
