Philadelphia Union has loaned midfielder David Vazquez to San Diego FC through the end of the 2025 Major League Soccer season. In exchange, Philadelphia will receive $100,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM), split evenly between 2025 and 2026.

Vazquez, who is 19 years old, joined the Union as a Homegrown player on April 29, 2024. He has played in 14 matches for Union II in MLS NEXT Pro this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Vazquez made his first MLS appearance on June 29, 2025, against Columbus Crew.

The midfielder is also recognized at the international level, having been called up to represent the United States at U17, U19, and U20 levels.
