The Philadelphia Union has announced the launch of its Winter Select 2026 program for youth soccer players in Eastern Pennsylvania. The initiative follows the organization’s summer select program and aims to provide young athletes with an opportunity to represent the club at a national tournament.
“Following the incredible success of the summer select program, the Philadelphia Union is proud to bring a Winter Select program to Eastern Pennsylvania. Our winter select program allows youth players to showcase their skills and represent the Philadelphia Union in the Disney Presidents’ Day Soccer Tournament. This tournament takes place the weekend of February 14th-16th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando,” said Patrick Kelleher, Director of Select Programs.
To determine participants for Winter Select 2026, player identification sessions will be held on September 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Registration for these sessions closes on September 14, 2025. Selected players will pay a registration fee of $595, with payment plans available.
Players chosen for the team will take part in twice-weekly practices over six weeks starting January 5, leading up to participation in one tournament—the Disney Presidents Day Soccer Tournament scheduled for February 14-16, 2026, in Orlando. All training sessions will be held indoors at WSFS Bank Sportsplex in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Teams will practice either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays between January 5 and February 13. Practice times are set from either 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., or from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., with specific schedules announced after teams are formed.
