Philadelphia Union II earned a 3-1 win against Columbus Crew 2 at Historic Crew Stadium on Sunday. The match began with Philadelphia taking the lead in the 11th minute through Stas Korzeniowski. Three minutes later, Markus Anderson added a second goal for Union II.

Columbus narrowed the gap in the 89th minute when Chase Adams scored, assisted by Kevin Gbamblé and Kaile Auvray. In stoppage time, Jamir Johnson secured the result for Philadelphia with a goal assisted by Willyam Ferreira.

The lineup for Philadelphia Union II included Mike Sheridan in goal, defenders Óscar Benítez Cobo, Giovanny Sequera, Rafael Uzcategui, and Jordan Griffin; midfielders CJ Olney, Nick Pariano (substituted by Leandro Soria in the 69th minute), Kellan LeBlanc (replaced by Willyam Ferreira in the 65th), and Markus Anderson (replaced by Jamir Johnson in the 77th); forwards Stas Korzeniowski and Eddy Davis III (substituted by Malik Jakupovic in the 65th). Lou Liedtka, Kaiden Moore, and Noah Probst were available as unused substitutes.

Columbus Crew 2 started Stanislav Lapkes in goal with Keesean Ferdinand, Málcom Palacios, Christopher Rogers, Brent Adu-Gyamfi (substituted by Quinton Elliot at the hour mark), Gio De Libera (replaced by Kaile Auvray also at 60′), Ibrahima Sy (substituted by Cristian Ortiz in the 77th), Anthony Alaouieh, Kevin Gbamblé, Chase Adams, and Nico Rincón. Unused substitutes were Dylan Randazzo, Prince Forfor, Alex Gimple, Isaac Tortola, and Keller Abbott.

Markus Anderson reached his fifth goal of this MLS NEXT Pro season. CJ Olney made his first appearance since returning to Philadelphia Union II. Academy midfielder Jamir Johnson recorded his second MLS NEXT Pro goal. Goalkeeper Mike Sheridan marked his third start of the season.

The game was officiated by Stephanie MacFarland with Jake Brochu and Marcus Barnett as assistant referees and Josh Braunstein as fourth official. The weather was reported at 84 degrees and sunny.
