Philadelphia Union II lost 3-1 to New England Revolution II on Sunday night at Subaru Park. The match saw New England’s Liam Butts score twice, with his first goal coming in the 35th minute and his second just five minutes later. An own goal by Neil Pierre added to Philadelphia’s deficit before halftime, giving New England a 3-0 lead at the break.

Union II managed to get on the scoreboard late in stoppage time when Malik Jakupovic scored an unassisted goal in the 90th minute. Despite having more shots—21 compared to New England’s five—Union II could not convert their opportunities into goals.

The match included several cautions for both teams, with Philadelphia’s Giovanny Sequera and Jordan Griffin booked in the first half. Kaiden Moore made his debut for Union II during this game.

Philadelphia Union II will next play against FC Cincinnati 2 at NKU Soccer Stadium on Sunday, August 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
