Philadelphia Union II secured a 2-0 victory over New York City FC II at Icahn Stadium on Saturday. After a goalless first half, Markus Anderson opened the scoring in the 60th minute. Malik Jakupovic added another goal in the 80th minute, ensuring a win for Philadelphia Union II.

The team will return to Subaru Park to face FC Cincinnati 2 on Sunday, August 3.

The match was officiated by referee Kyle Johnston with assistant referees Tyler Spiczka and Bryan Conetta. The fourth official was Adam Cook. The weather was reported as cloudy with a temperature of 84 degrees.

In terms of discipline, Luka Sunjic from New York City FC II received a caution in the 16th minute. Philadelphia’s Giovanny Sequera was cautioned in the 21st minute.
