Philadelphia Union II will face New York Red Bulls II on Monday night in a match that will determine the top position in the Eastern Conference of MLS NEXT Pro. Both teams are currently tied with 42 points each as they head into the game at MSU Soccer Park.

Union II secured their place at the top after a 1-0 win over FC Cincinnati 2 last weekend. Midfielder Kellan LeBlanc scored early, earning goal of the matchweek honors, while goalkeeper Pierce Holbrook achieved his fourth consecutive clean sheet, helping to maintain Union II’s status as having the best defense in the Eastern Conference.

New York Red Bulls II recently earned a 2-1 victory against Columbus Crew 2. Andy Rojas and Aidan Jarvis provided goals for Red Bulls II, who played under coach Michael Badley and finished the match with ten players on each side.

This is the second and final regular season meeting between Union II and Red Bulls II. In their previous encounter on March 17th, Union II won in a shootout. Over the course of the season, Union II has conceded only 17 goals—the fewest in the league—and scored 45 goals from 16 different players. In contrast, Red Bulls II lead the conference with 49 goals but have allowed 42 goals themselves.
