On September 20, Subaru Park hosted a match between the Philadelphia Union and the New England Revolution. During this event, participants in the Union Youth’s Player Pathway Program (PPP) were recognized with several special activities.

The day began with open play on the WSFS Bank Sportsplex Turf fields. Players, their families, and coaches participated together. Parents had the chance to join their children on the field and speak directly with coaches, which organizers say is an important part of building strong relationships within the program.

PPP players also watched the Philadelphia Union First Team warm up from a field-side bench. This allowed them to observe professional athletes prepare for a Major League Soccer match at close range.

Before kickoff, some PPP players accompanied Philadelphia Union players onto the field for the national anthem. Standing in front of thousands of supporters was described as a memorable experience for those involved.

The Player Pathway Program is supported by Kinetic PT and aims to connect developing soccer players with mentorship opportunities and skill development as part of their involvement with the wider Philadelphia Union community.

“Backed by Kinetic PT, the Player Pathway Program is more than just a training initiative. It’s a bridge that links developing players to the broader Union family, offering mentorship, skill-building, and unforgettable experiences that deepen their love for the game,” according to organizers.

During the match between Philadelphia Union and New England Revolution, PPP participants stood near the action as representatives of local youth soccer development efforts.
