Philadelphia Union expands youth soccer development with fall Player Pathway Program

The Philadelphia Union has launched its fall season of the Player Pathway Program (PPP), offering supplemental training for young athletes in both boys’ and girls’ divisions. The program, which features more than 30 teams, is designed to provide advanced skill development while adhering to the club’s training philosophy.

Patrick Kelleher, Director of the Boys PPP, said, “Our goal is to give these players a unique environment where they can challenge themselves and grow, both technically and mentally. We’re focused on developing the complete player while staying true to the Union’s methodology.”

Lisa Cotter, who leads the Girls PPP, highlighted the program’s holistic focus: “Every session is designed to develop players not just on the field, but as thinkers of the game. We take into account their age-specific needs, making sure they’re growing in all aspects of the game.”

Training sessions are held every Friday night at WSFS Bank Sportsplex. The invite-only program remains club-neutral and aims to complement existing club commitments for participating athletes. Sessions reflect core principles that have shaped Philadelphia Union’s approach to player development.
