Philadelphia Union defeated Chicago Fire FC 3-0 at SeatGeek Stadium on Saturday night in the second match of the 2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs Round One Best-of-3 series. The win allows Philadelphia to advance to the Conference Semifinals for the fifth time in club history.

Forward Tai Baribo was a key figure in the match, scoring his first two career playoff goals in the 8th and 16th minutes. Bruno Damiani added a third goal for Philadelphia in the 35th minute, also marking his first postseason goal. Goalkeeper Andre Blake kept a clean sheet and made his club-record 15th postseason start.

The Union will now return to Subaru Park to host their next playoff match, with details on their opponent and schedule still to be determined.

“This was a big step for us,” said Union Head Coach Jim Curtin after the match. “We got strong performances from everyone on the field, and advancing again shows how much progress this group has made.”

The team’s starting lineup included several notable contributions: Frankie Westfield made his first career postseason start as a homegrown defender, while Jovan Lukic and Kai Wagner provided assists. For Chicago Fire FC, Jonathan Bamba and Dje D’Avilla received cautions during the match.

Philadelphia previously reached the Conference Semifinals in 2011, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
