Philadelphia Union will host Toronto FC on Saturday, August 9, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET at Subaru Park. The event is branded as Retro Esports Night and is presented by Primepoint. Fans can watch the match on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.

Parking lots will open at 12:30 p.m., and fans are encouraged to purchase parking passes online in advance due to limited availability.

The club has organized several themed activities before and after the match. At Union Yards, an EA FC 25 Photobooth experience will allow fans to print custom Ultimate Team cards, accompanied by a DJ playing music from the 1990s. Union Yards will be accessible from 4:30 p.m. until after the game concludes at 10:30 p.m.

Subaru Plaza will feature a gaming truck station where attendees can play popular games. Impact Dance Complex will perform a retro dance routine, and Phang’s Game Time—a throwback contest hosted by the team mascot—will start at 6:10 p.m.

Fans entering through the gates can visit the Subaru Esports Hub near section 117 between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. for various challenges offering prizes. These include completing a Fall Guys run in first place, recording the fastest lap in iRacing’s Subaru Sim Racing, or achieving high scores in PacMan and Galaga during the Retro Gaming Challenge.

A new addition to Subaru Plaza this year is a giant Adirondack chair provided by Visit St. Pete-Clearwater. Fans can take photos on it while wearing Union gear for a chance to be featured on an online fan wall.

For the 2025 season, fans will notice improved sound quality throughout Subaru Park following upgrades by Diversified, which replaced all original speakers in the seating bowl—including twelve arrays—and added new speakers at stadium gates and smaller ones at the North End of the stadium. Amplifiers and audio infrastructure were also updated to meet standards seen in other major U.S. sports venues such as Lincoln Financial Field.

Union Yards remains a central gathering space across from Sons of Ben Tailgate lots, featuring Dogfish Head Bar with a large selection of beverages and communal spaces equipped with TVs broadcasting soccer matches and other Philadelphia sporting events. On Wednesdays, Union Yards opens at 2:30 p.m., with happy hour pricing available during its first hour of operation.

The GIANT Tailgate area offers tailgate games, lounge seating, firepits, string lights, and trees for atmosphere.

All stadium gates are set to open at 6 p.m., ahead of kickoff against Toronto FC.

Concession options have been expanded for 2025 with vendors such as Colbie’s (Section 132), Primo Hoagies (Section 125), Cooper Cheese (Union Yards; Philly Cheesesteak Co.; Primepoint Club; Suites), Rita’s (Section 109), Hatfield Hot Dogs around various locations within Subaru Park.

Subaru Park continues its zero landfill initiative begun in partnership with Subaru in 2021—making it Major League Soccer’s first zero landfill soccer stadium. More than ninety percent of waste is reduced, reused or recycled; remaining waste is converted into energy rather than sent to landfills. In-stadium messaging and sorting systems have helped halve per-fan waste generation while increasing recycling rates fivefold since implementation.
