Philadelphia Union Academy announced that Thomas White, a goalkeeper for the club, has been selected to join the U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team training camp. The camp will take place from September 12 to 19 at McCurry Park in Fayetteville, Georgia, and will be led by Head Coach Ross Brady.
White is among five Philadelphia Union Academy players called up for national team duty during this period. Abdoulaye Diop, Samuel Gallego, Landon Mulvenna, and Chris Thompson have also been chosen for the U.S. U-16 camp.
The U-15 national team roster includes 22 players from 16 different MLS academies. The Chicago Fire and Houston Dynamo each have three players on the squad, while Atlanta United and FC Dallas have two each. Other MLS clubs represented with one player include Charlotte FC, FC Cincinnati, Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew, Sporting Kansas City, LA Galaxy, New York City FC, New York Red Bulls, Orlando City, Philadelphia Union, St. Louis City, and San Jose Earthquakes.
Additionally, one player each from Barca Residency Academy of MLS NEXT and Pipeline SC of ECNL were named to the roster. All selected players were born after January 1, 2011.
The full list of goalkeepers includes David Jaimes Martinez (FC Dallas; Richardson, Texas), Luan Silva (Orlando City; Orlando, Fla.), and Thomas White (Philadelphia Union; Atherton, Calif.).
