Philadelphia Union’s academy has been ranked as the top Major League Soccer (MLS) academy for the third year in a row, according to USSoccerCollective.com. The rankings evaluate MLS academies based on talent and resources, with Philadelphia Union receiving a perfect score of 10 out of 10 in both categories.

The club also received high marks for its “Pathway To The Pros” player development platform. Fifteen players from the academy have signed professional contracts with either MLS or MLS NEXT Pro teams. In the past year, seven players have joined the organization through this pathway.

USSoccerCollective.com awarded the Union’s talent pool an A+ rating for the second consecutive year. Only one other club achieved such high marks in any category during this evaluation period.

Marus Chairez wrote, “No other U.S. club is producing more high-level prospects. They maximize their MLS Next Pro team as a development tool, consistently fielding one of the youngest rosters while still achieving on-field success.”
