The Philadelphia Flyers announced on May 15 that goaltender Aleksei Kolosov has been re-signed to a one-year contract extension with an average annual value of $850,000, according to General Manager Daniel Briere.
Kolosov, who is 24 years old, spent most of the 2025-26 season playing for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the American Hockey League. He recorded a 15-21-2 record with two shutouts over 38 games and allowed the eighth-fewest goals against in the league. His goals-against average was 2.98 and he achieved a career-best .895 save percentage.
The Flyers selected Kolosov in the third round (78th overall) of the 2021 National Hockey League Draft. He has played in 21 NHL games for Philadelphia, including four during this season, and holds a record of five wins, eleven losses, and one overtime loss at the NHL level. Over three seasons with Lehigh Valley, he appeared in 52 games with a .892 save percentage and a goals-against average of 3.02.
Before joining North American hockey leagues, Kolosov played parts of four seasons for Dinamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League. There he appeared in 120 regular-season games with a record of forty-nine wins, fifty-six losses, and ten overtime losses. He also made fourteen playoff appearances and was named to KHL All-Star Games for both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.
