The University of Pennsylvania women’s tennis team will play its final two matches of the regular season on the road against Brown and Yale, according to an April 17 announcement.
These upcoming matches mark the end of the Quakers’ regular season as they aim to secure their first road victory. The team is coming off a close 4-3 win over Cornell in their last home match.
The Quakers achieved their eleventh win of the season during that match. Senior Maya Urata played a key role by winning both her doubles match and clinching singles victory in her final appearance at home. Esha Velaga, Lara Stojanovski, and Varsha Vedula also contributed singles wins for Penn.
With these performances, Penn seeks to build momentum heading into their away games. The team has yet to secure a road win this season but hopes to change that record with strong showings against Ivy League opponents Brown and Yale.
The results from these matches will determine how Penn closes out its regular-season campaign.
