The University of Pennsylvania women’s squash team extended its undefeated streak to 9-0 after a decisive win against No. 8 Yale on Sunday, January 18, in New Haven, Connecticut.
Penn secured victories in all nine matches. The first four positions were swept by Malak Khafagy, Franka Vidovic, Malak Taha, and Sohalia Ismail. Allie Stoddard earned her second win in as many days by defeating Yale’s Eedha Kang with a score of 3-1. Ashna Tumuluri and Savannah Ingledew each won their matches 3-0 from the eighth and ninth spots in the lineup.
Anne Leakey and Hailey Wong also contributed wins for Penn. This match marked the team’s sixth sweep with a 9-0 result this season.
Following this performance, Penn became the first team to reach nine wins during the current season. Five players—Vidovic, Stoddard, Ingledew, Tumuluri, and Khafagy—are now ranked among the top ten in the College Squash Association (CSA) player standings.

Franka Vidovic defeated Spring Ma 11-5, 11-9, 11-5.
Malak Taha defeated Meha Shah 14-12, 11-4, 11-7.
Sohalia Ismail defeated Elise Kang 11-4, 11-0, 11-6.
Allie Stoddard defeated Eedha Mehta 11-2, 7-11, 12-10, 11-5.
Anne Leakey defeated Whitney Taylor 11-5, 8-11, 11-5, 11-5.
Hailey Wong defeated Tsz Ling Alyssa Ho 14-12, 12-10, 9-11, and 11–8.
Ashna Tumuluri defeated Layla Johnson 11–6, 11–6, and an incomplete final score.
Savannah Ingledew defeated Swetha Sivakumar 11–1 , 11–3 , and 11–5.
The Quakers will next compete at the CSA Individual Championships beginning Friday January 23 in New York City.
