The University of Pennsylvania’s women’s squash team has announced the addition of five new athletes for the 2025-26 season. Head coach Jack Wyant introduced four incoming freshmen—Sasha Bauhs, Nitza Kahlon, Paola Lincou, and Charlotte Oh—and a junior transfer, Anne Leakey.

“I am very excited to welcome the Class of 2029,” said Wyant. “Charlotte, Nitza, Paola, and Sasha are a talented group joining a team that finished second in the Ivy League last year. Anne Leakey, from New Zealand, transfers to Penn from Dickinson College and joins the Class of 2027. I couldn’t be more excited to welcome these newcomers and get into training!”

Sasha Bauhs comes from Eastsound, Washington and attended Pingry School. She was a four-year varsity player at No. 1 position and earned several accolades including Team MVP and the Pingry Squash Award as a senior. Bauhs also competed internationally with notable placements in European and Dutch Junior Opens. She is enrolled in Wharton.

Bauhs said: “I chose Penn for its combination of exceptional academics, high-level squash program, and other opportunities on campus. Penn is the ideal place for me to grow academically, athletically, and personally.”

Nitza Kahlon joins from Princeton, New Jersey where she captained Lawrenceville School’s squash team as a senior. She contributed to four Mid-Atlantic Prep League championships and received high academic honors such as Cum Laude recognition and National Merit Scholarship.

Kahlon stated: “Penn is a perfect combination of stellar athletic programs and unique academic opportunity. Penn has it all!”

Anne Leakey transfers after two years at Dickinson College where she was named Team MVP for 2024-25 with a record-setting season at No. 1 position (21-3). She helped her former team achieve their second-best finish ever at CSA Team Championships.

Leakey explained her choice: “I chose Penn because it offers the perfect balance of elite academics and top-level squash. Coming in with college experience, I was looking for a place where I could keep pushing myself in every area — and Penn’s competitive environment and strong sense of community made it the right fit for this next chapter.”

Paola Lincou hails from Needham, Massachusetts but was born in Marseille, France. She played for France’s national team at both European team championships and world championships over three years while holding the No. 2 national ranking in France.

Lincou commented: “Penn has always been my dream school, since I was 12 years old and had barely started squash. The program and the location really pulled me in, and I knew I wanted to go there even before the program started to break into the top 5 in the national rankings.”

Charlotte Oh arrives from Greenwich Academy in Connecticut where she helped her school win national titles at both JV (2025) and varsity (2024) levels. Oh received academic awards including Cum Laude distinction.

Oh shared: “While Penn’s academic rigor initially drew me in, its vibrant and supportive community solidified my decision. I am also incredibly grateful for the opportunity to spend two years alongside my sister, Madeline (Class of 2027), which made Penn feel even more like home.”

The newcomers join a squad that finished second in last season’s Ivy League competition.
