The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2024-25 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes. Both the women’s and men’s tennis programs at the University of Pennsylvania have been recognized as ITA All-Academic teams. Additionally, 18 athletes from these programs—nine women and nine men—have been awarded the ITA Scholar-Athletes Award.
For the women’s team, Sasha Motlagh, Saige Roshkoff, Gavriella Smith, Lara Stojanovski, Liza Tkachenko, Maya Urata, Esha Velaga, Eileen Wang, and Sarah Wang received honors. The men’s team included Parashar Bharadwaj, Shaurya Bharadwaj, Sanjeev Chundu, Luka Butera, Justin Chung, Stephan Gershfeld, Manfredi Graziani, Matthew Rutter, and Aaron Sandler.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is available to any ITA program with a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale among student-athletes listed on the institutional eligibility form. The cumulative team GPA for the current academic year includes all varsity letter winners.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete requires a player to maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale for the current academic year and be listed on their school’s institutional eligibility form.
