The University of Pennsylvania men’s soccer team secured a 3-0 victory over Villanova at Rhodes Field on Tuesday night, concluding a four-game home stretch. Oliver Pratt scored the opening goal in the first minute, while Romeo Dahlen added two more goals to help Penn improve its season record to 3-2-2.

Goalkeeper Phillip Falcon III matched his career-high with five saves, stopping all shots he faced and maintaining a clean sheet. The Quakers controlled much of the match, outshooting Villanova 25-9 and registering 13 shots on target.

Erickson Sakalosky contributed by assisting on two goals, marking a personal best. Patrick Cayelli took five shots for Penn, with four requiring saves from Villanova goalkeeper Sebastian Cutler-DeJesus. Freshman Phil Pak made his collegiate debut during the match.

Penn’s offense applied pressure early, with Pratt scoring off an assist from Cayelli in the opening minute. In the 23rd minute, Sakalosky intercepted a pass and set up Dahlen for his third goal of the season. Despite several attempts by Villanova to respond in both halves, Falcon kept them scoreless.

Dahlen sealed the win with his second goal in the 81st minute. The Quakers will begin Ivy League play on Sunday, September 28, when they travel to New York City to face Columbia at 1 p.m.
