The University of Pennsylvania men’s golf team will participate in the Princeton Invitational on April 10 as its final event before the Ivy League Championship. The two-day tournament, held at Springdale Golf Club, features a field that includes all seven Ivy League teams and several non-conference opponents.
This event serves as an important opportunity for Penn to assess its performance against key rivals before the upcoming championship. The format consists of 36 holes on Saturday with tee times starting at 8 a.m., followed by an additional 18 holes on Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Springdale Golf Club, located in Princeton, New Jersey, is set up as a par-71 course spanning 6,444 yards. In addition to Penn and host school Princeton, other Ivy League participants include Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Yale. Non-Ivy teams competing are Georgetown, Rider, Saint Joseph’s University, Seton Hall University, and Temple University.
Penn’s lineup for the invitational includes Hayden Adams (junior), Arjun Caprihan (freshman), Kayden Wang (freshman), Wesley Hu (sophomore), and Ryan Chang (sophomore). Senior Owen Hayes will compete as an individual.
The results from this tournament are expected to provide insight into how Penn matches up with conference opponents heading into the championship round in two weeks.
