The University of Pennsylvania men’s golf team finished sixth out of 12 teams at the Wildcat Fazio Invite, according to an April 7 announcement. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was hosted by Villanova and held at Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway Township, New Jersey.

The result is notable as Penn improved its position on the final day, moving up three spots with a strong performance. The Quakers posted the third-best team score during Tuesday’s final round, shooting a combined 300. Their total for the event was 905 (+53), trailing only host Villanova and Georgetown for best scores on the last day.

Ryan Chang led Penn as an individual competitor, finishing tied for sixth overall after shooting a final-round 74 and ending at nine-over-par 222 in a field of 72 golfers. From the main lineup, Hayden Adams and Kayden Wang both completed the tournament tied for twelfth place with scores of twelve-over-par 225. Arjun Caprihan finished tied for twenty-sixth after a final-round score of seventy-four.

Georgetown’s Carson Erick won medalist honors by carding a sixty-nine in his last round to finish three-over-par (216), one stroke ahead of Villanova’s Ryan Palmer and Navy’s Chip Deegan.

Penn will compete next at the Princeton Invitational this coming weekend before participating in the Ivy League Championship later this month.
