The University of Pennsylvania women’s gymnastics team secured a 194.900-190.500 victory over Bridgeport on Sunday at The Palestra in Philadelphia, bringing their season record to 4-0.
The meet began with the vault event, where Manama Fofana led the Quakers with a score of 9.825, followed closely by Maggie Murphy at 9.800. On bars, there was a four-way tie for first place, with Penn’s Jordan Barrow, Luci Toczydlowski, and Sophia Paris each scoring 9.750.
In the beam rotation, Penn swept the top spots as Murphy, Alisha Werlen, and Fofana all recorded scores of 9.775. The Quakers’ highest team total came on floor exercise with a score of 48.950; Fofana again led the way with a personal best of 9.875.
“Manama Fofana continues to make her mark in 2026. Fofana earned three more first-place finishes Sunday. After setting her career high on the floor last week, Fofana once again rewrote her record book with a 9.875,” according to the release.
The Quakers collected eight first-place finishes among six gymnasts during the meet and have now achieved their best start in program history by opening the season with four consecutive wins.
Penn will continue its homestand on Friday, February 6, hosting Cornell, George Washington, and William & Mary in a quad meet.
