The University of Pennsylvania baseball team will begin its postseason run against third-seeded Brown in the opening round of the Ivy League Tournament, according to a May 11 announcement. The game is scheduled for Friday at George H.W. Bush ’48 Field in New Haven, with first pitch set for 4 p.m.
This matchup follows Yale’s clinching of its second consecutive Ivy League regular-season title after sweeping Dartmouth, which secured Yale as the tournament host and top seed. Penn completed its regular season with an overall record of 20-20 and a conference record of 14-7, marking their fourth straight appearance in the Ivy League postseason tournament.
The Quakers have momentum heading into the tournament, having won five out of their last six games. This stretch included a sweep over Harvard and a series win against Brown. In their final road series, Penn outscored Harvard by a combined score of 30-15 to secure their spot in postseason play.
Both Penn and Columbia are noted as the only teams to participate in all four editions of the Ivy League Tournament since its inception. The Quakers claimed tournament championships in both 2023 and 2024 and advanced to NCAA regionals during those seasons.
All games from this year’s Ivy League Tournament will be streamed live on ESPN+, with live statistics available throughout the weekend for fans. Additional details about ticketing and schedules can be found on the official Ivy League Tournament page.
Penn Quakers Men’s Baseball competes at the NCAA Division I level as part of intercollegiate athletics at the University of Pennsylvania, maintaining membership in the Ivy League and hosting home games at Tommy Lasorda Field at Meiklejohn Stadium, according to the official website.
