Penn announces date for annual Red and Blue Basketball Scrimmages

Penn basketball fans will have an early opportunity to watch both the men’s and women’s teams as they prepare for the upcoming season. The annual Red and Blue Scrimmages are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4 at The Palestra.

The women’s team will begin their scrimmage at 10 a.m., with the men’s team following at approximately 11 a.m. Admission to the event is free, and all fans are encouraged to attend.

The first home games of the regular season for both teams will be held as a doubleheader on Friday, Nov. 7. The women’s team will play King’s College at 4 p.m., while the men will start their season under new head coach Fran McCaffery against Rowan University at 7 p.m. Ticket options, including season, mini plan, single game, and group packages, are available for purchase through pennathletics.com/tickets.
