The MLB Pipeline Prospect Showcase is set to feature a match between the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Norfolk Tides, affiliated with the Baltimore Orioles. The game will take place in Allentown, Pennsylvania on Tuesday at 12:05 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the live broadcast on MLB Network and stream it for free through various platforms.

The starting lineups are expected to include at least two Top 100 prospects. Samuel Basallo, ranked No. 9 overall, has been making waves with his impressive performance in Triple-A despite being just 20 years old. His statistics place him among the top performers across several categories this season. However, he has not yet been called up to Major League Baseball due to needing further development in certain areas.

Adley Rutschman, another notable name and former No. 1 overall pick from 2019, is expected to start a rehab assignment with Norfolk following an injury that kept him out since June 19. Ryan Mountcastle is also scheduled to begin a rehab assignment on the same day.

Justin Crawford of Lehigh Valley will showcase his skills during Tuesday’s event as well. The son of former Rays star Carl Crawford ranks high in batting average and steals within the International League this season.

Other players from both teams include Andrew Painter and Mick Abel for Lehigh Valley as well as Gabriel Rincones Jr., Michael Mercado for Norfolk alongside Dylan Beavers joining Basallo on their roster.

The Philadelphia Phillies currently hold a slight lead over their division rivals while Baltimore faces challenges amidst disappointing results thus far this year ahead of potential trade activity involving these promising prospects before month’s end.
