University of Pennsylvania sophomore forward Katie Collins has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week in women’s basketball.

Collins received MVP honors at the FDU Christmas Classic, where Penn defeated UMES and Binghamton to win the tournament. Over two games, she scored a total of 39 points, collected 18 rebounds, and made nine blocks. Her performance included a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds against UMES. In the following game against Binghamton, Collins contributed 21 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks. She also played well in a recent matchup with Princeton, recording 15 points and six rebounds. Across these three games, Collins averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game.

Penn (10-4) will continue conference play at Brown on Sunday, January 10. The game is scheduled to air on ESPN+ at 2 p.m.
