Sophomore Katie Collins and junior Mataya Gayle of the University of Pennsylvania women’s basketball team were recognized with All-Ivy honors for the 2025-26 season, according to a March 10 announcement.

The recognition highlights the achievements of both players during a competitive season. Such honors are significant as they reflect individual excellence within the Ivy League and contribute to the team’s reputation in collegiate basketball.

Collins was named second-team All-Ivy after averaging 13 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game this season. She led her team in several categories including points, three-pointers made, rebounds, blocks, and minutes played. Within the Ivy League, she ranked second in rebounding and first in blocks. This marks her second consecutive Ivy honor following her Rookie of the Year award last season.

Gayle earned honorable mention as well as academic All-Ivy recognition. The junior point guard led both her team and the Ivy League in assists with an average of 4.5 per game and became only the 27th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. She also finished fifth in the league for steals per game. This is Gayle’s second straight year receiving Ivy Honorable Mention and her first time being named Academic-All Ivy.

The accomplishments by Collins and Gayle underscore their contributions to Penn’s women’s basketball program this season.
