Jalen Carter has been ranked No. 43 in the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2025, as voted by his peers. He is the latest member of the Philadelphia Eagles to be included on this list, joining cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell (No. 49) and Cooper DeJean (No. 60), as well as left tackle Jordan Mailata (No. 69).

Carter completed his second season in the league with notable statistics, including 4.5 sacks and a team-high 45 pressures. His performance earned him second-team All-Pro honors, and at age 23, he became the youngest defensive tackle in franchise history to be selected for the Pro Bowl.

A highlight of Carter’s season was during the Divisional Round playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. In that game, he recorded two sacks, two passes defensed, and a forced fumble. His final sack occurred on third down during Los Angeles’ last drive with just over a minute remaining in the fourth quarter while the Rams were close to taking the lead. On the following play, Carter pressured quarterback Matthew Stafford into an errant throw, helping secure a win for Philadelphia.

According to Matt Ryan: “Just two years into his NFL career, Carter has established himself as one of the best interior defenders in the league, and everyone around him can tell.”
