Philadelphia Union’s Malik Jakupovic and Jamir Johnson displayed their talents at the 2025 MLS NEXT All-Star Game held in Austin. Jakupovic, a forward for Union II, was part of the Eastern Conference’s starting lineup and played the first half. During the 21st minute, he made a run behind the West defense but had his centering cross blocked.

In the second half, Jamir Johnson entered during an intense period with both sides exchanging goals. The match reached a pivotal moment when the West equalized in the 83rd minute. However, Johnson led an offensive effort for the East soon after. Positioned on the left side inside the box, he attempted a cross that resulted in a handball.

This incident allowed Johnson to take a penalty kick, which he successfully converted with his right foot, securing victory for his team.
