On Saturday, Nov. 29, the California Vulcans, featuring former Imhotep Institute Charter High School standout Mikale Whitfield, were narrowly defeated 23-21 by the Frostburg State Bobcats in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The contest was held at Adamson Stadium at noon and marked the California Vulcans’ first encounter with the Frostburg State Bobcats in this tournament.
