About 20.5 percent of the 8,106 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Pennsylvania in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency’s National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Philadelphia conferred 1061 master’s degrees and 549 bachelor’s degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master’s degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 337 master’s degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 315 bachelor’s degrees in general finance and 259 master’s degrees in general finance.

The university enrolled 25,860 students for 2017-18, including 11,851 in undergraduate programs and 14,009 in graduate programs.
