The Philadelphia Flyers have announced the dates for their 2025 Rookie Series, a two-game event against prospects from the New York Rangers. The games are scheduled for Friday, September 12 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, September 13 at 5:05 p.m. Both games will be held at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, which is also home to the Flyers’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Flyers General Manager Daniel Briere said, “The Rookie Series gives our young prospects a great platform to compete, gain experience, and showcase their development. Over the last few seasons, building this series with the Rangers has created a strong partnership and competitive edge that benefits both organizations. It’s a great early test for the prospects and a chance for our staff to evaluate them in game situations.”
This annual event offers fans an opportunity to see upcoming talent from both teams before the start of the regular season. The Flyers’ roster will include recent draft picks and standout players from development camp; full rosters will be released later.
This year marks the fifth straight season that Philadelphia’s prospects will face off against those from New York in this series. The Flyers’ rookies currently have a record of four wins, three losses, and one tie in these matchups.
Tickets for the Rookie Series are available through PPLCenter.com.
