Rick Tocchet’s Philadelphia Flyers will host the Boston Bruins, coached by Marco Sturm, in their first home game of the 2025-26 preseason. The matchup is scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 p.m. EDT at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Fans can watch the game on PhiladelphiaFlyers.com or listen to the radio broadcast on 97.5 The Fanatic.

The Flyers’ roster for this preseason game includes several established NHL forwards. Trevor Zegras is set to make his home preseason debut with the team. Other players expected to take the ice include captain Sean Couturier, Travis Konecny—last season’s Bobby Clarke Trophy winner—Matvei Michkov, Owen Tippett, Garnet Hathaway, and new addition Christian Dvorak.

On defense, Cam York and Travis Sanheim are slated to continue as a pair on the blueline, a combination that has seen significant playing time over recent seasons. Coach Tocchet has indicated during training camp that York may eventually lead his own defensive pairing.

Goaltender Samuel Ersson will start Saturday’s game after appearing in Tuesday’s contest in Montreal. Rookie Carson Bjarnason will also be dressed for the match.

Prospects Luchanko and Bump are both expected to play their third consecutive preseason game as they compete for spots on the team. Their performance on Saturday could impact their chances of making the regular season roster.

Rodrigo Abols has shown strong form during training camp and continues to vie for a position among the bottom six forwards, especially with Karsen Dorwart currently sidelined due to an upper-body injury.
