Evan Mougalian, a junior on the University of Pennsylvania wrestling team, has been named Ivy League Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season. The announcement was made by the Ivy League on Tuesday.

Mougalian secured this recognition after earning a first-period pin during Penn’s recent match against Virginia at the Palestra. His victory over Kyle Montaperto in 2:09 gave Penn an 18-16 lead with two matches remaining.

Following Mougalian’s performance, teammates CJ Composto and Cross Wasilewski also won their respective bouts, leading to a final score of 24-16 in favor of Penn.

The team will begin its 2026 competition schedule at the Southern Scuffle tournament in Chattanooga, starting Saturday, January 4.
