Evan Mougalian, a junior on the University of Pennsylvania wrestling team, has been named Ivy League Wrestler of the Week. This marks his first time receiving the award in his collegiate career.
Mougalian secured the honor following his performance at the 2025 PRTC Keystone Classic, where he won the title in the 133-pound weight class. He achieved a 4-0 record during the tournament, including pins against Gauge Shipp from Hofstra and Amonn Ohl from Edinboro. In the semifinals, Mougalian defeated Gabe Strickland of Lock Haven by major decision with a score of 9-1. He finished his run with an 11-4 win over Dylan Shawver, who was an NCAA All-American in 2024 and ranked eighth nationally.
The Penn Quakers wrestling team will compete next on Monday, December 22, when they host Virginia for a dual meet at The Palestra starting at 7 p.m.
