The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Apr. 28 that they have waived tight end Jaheim Bell.
This move affects the team’s roster depth at the tight end position. The decision comes after Bell’s journey through several teams and practice squads in recent seasons.
Bell was selected in the seventh round of the 2024 draft by the New England Patriots from Florida State, following three years at South Carolina. He played in 15 games for New England during the 2024 season, recording two receptions for a total of 20 yards before being waived by the Patriots in August. Bell later joined Philadelphia’s practice squad in October of 2025 but was released after one week. He then spent a few weeks on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad before signing a reserve/future contract with Philadelphia in January.
With this change, the Eagles’ current group of tight ends includes Dallas Goedert, second-round pick Eli Stowers, Grant Calcaterra, Johnny Mundt, E.J. Jenkins, Cameron Latu, and Stone Smartt.
