After a walk-through on Friday, the Philadelphia Eagles returned to the field fully on Saturday for Military Appreciation Day. Here’s what stood out on Day 3 of their training camp:

Jalen Carter remained sidelined due to a shoulder injury, while guard Kenyon Green returned to action after recovering from a knee issue. Every other active player was present on the field.

Rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell received his first set of first-team reps during this training camp. Quinyon Mitchell showed strong coverage against DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert made a contested catch from Jalen Hurts. Moro Ojomo had significant defensive plays, including a would-be sack of Hurts.

A notable highlight was an over-the-shoulder pass from Hurts to A.J. Brown that drew significant attention from the crowd. Jordan Davis demonstrated his improved physical condition with a strong rush up the middle, having slimmed down by 26 pounds in the offseason.

Rookie Ty Robinson disrupted two plays towards the end of practice, and Kyle McCord connected with Elijah Cooks for an impressive play near the sideline.

The Eagles’ inside linebacker position has become clearer since last year. Zack Baun has transitioned into an off-ball linebacker and became an All-Pro and Pro Bowl performer in 2024. Jeremiah Trotter Jr., after gaining valuable reps as a rookie, is expected to have more playing time this season. Nakobe Dean is working on rehabilitating from an injury suffered in the playoffs.

Johnny Wilson hosted Wounded Warriors at Saturday’s practice for Military Appreciation Day, with his grandfather Richard Wilson among those in attendance. Richard served for 18 years and was involved in both Vietnam and Korean Wars.

“I’m proud of Johnny wanting to step out and do this for the Wounded Warriors,” said Richard Wilson.

For Johnny Wilson, supporting Wounded Warriors holds personal significance due to his family’s military background.

“To have my grandfather out here is even better,” Johnny said.

Following practice, every Eagle gave their military jersey to a veteran in attendance and signed autographs.

The Eagles will have an off day on Sunday before returning to practice Monday morning when Head Coach Nick Sirianni is scheduled to meet with the media.
