The Philadelphia Eagles have started their roster-building efforts for the 2026 season by signing 12 players to reserve/future contracts. These deals are available to players who were not on an active roster at the end of the previous season.
Among those signed is Andre’ Sam, a safety who joined the Eagles as an undrafted free agent from LSU and has spent his entire NFL career in Philadelphia. Sam appeared in four games, including three during the 2025 season after being elevated from the practice squad.
Tight end E.J. Jenkins also agreed to terms. Jenkins initially signed with the New York Jets after going undrafted out of Georgia Tech in 2023 but later joined Philadelphia’s practice squad that same year. He remained with the team through 2024 and 2025, playing in ten games overall and recording one touchdown catch.

Linebacker Chance Campbell was a sixth-round pick by Tennessee in 2022 out of Mississippi and has played four NFL games—all with Tennessee in 2023.
Defensive back Tariq Castro-Fields was drafted by San Francisco in the sixth round of the 2022 draft out of Penn State. He joined Philadelphia’s practice squad late last season after stints with Washington and Carolina, having played twelve NFL games.

Defensive tackle Gabe Hall signed with Philadelphia as a rookie free agent from Baylor in 2024. Hall made his debut this past season against Dallas and was called up again for Week Six versus New York before spending most time on the Eagles’ practice squad over two years.
Brandon Johnson, a defensive back from Oregon who went undrafted last year, impressed during training camp and was elevated from Philadelphia’s practice squad for several late-season games—including starting against Washington where he defended a pass.
Center Jake Majors set a record at Texas with fifty-six career starts before signing as an undrafted free agent with Tampa Bay last year; he later joined Philadelphia’s practice squad for most of this past season.
Offensive tackle Hollin Pierce came to Philadelphia after going undrafted out of Rutgers—where he was nominated for college football’s Bulsworth Trophy—and spent much of last year on their practice squad.
Wide receiver Quez Watkins returns to Philadelphia after being drafted by them in the sixth round back in 2020; he totaled more than twelve hundred receiving yards over four seasons before brief stints elsewhere prior to rejoining the Eagles’ practice unit this past year.
