The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Friday that they have added wide receiver Javon Baker to their practice squad and released outside linebacker Antwaun Powell-Ryland. The roster moves come after the team’s 24-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Javon Baker, a fourth-round selection from the University of Central Florida by the New England Patriots last year, joins the Eagles’ practice squad. During his final college season, Baker led the Big 12 conference with 1,139 receiving yards and averaged 21.9 yards per reception. In his rookie NFL season, he appeared in 11 games and recorded one catch for 12 yards.
Antwaun Powell-Ryland was chosen by Philadelphia in the sixth round of this year’s draft. After being waived during roster cutdowns, he signed to the practice squad but has now been released.
