The Philadelphia Eagles have released wide receiver Javon Baker and running back Audric Estime from their practice squad, opening two roster spots as of Tuesday.

Javon Baker joined the Eagles’ practice squad after the team’s Week 1 victory over Dallas. Previously, he was selected by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft following his college career at Central Florida and Alabama. During his time in college, Baker recorded 117 receptions for 2,051 yards and 13 touchdowns. As a rookie with New England, he appeared in 11 games, including one start, and played 90 snaps on offense. He also contributed as a kickoff returner on special teams.

Audric Estime began his professional career as a fifth-round pick by the Denver Broncos in the same draft year. At Notre Dame, Estime rushed for 2,598 yards and scored 30 touchdowns over three seasons, earning second-team All-America honors in his final year. In his rookie season with Denver, he ran for 310 yards on 4.1 yards per carry and scored two touchdowns. After being released during final roster cuts in August, Estime signed to the Eagles’ practice squad.

The release of both players creates new opportunities for other athletes to join or move up within the Eagles’ organization.
