The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing to face the Denver Broncos at Lincoln Financial Field, with kickoff scheduled for 1 PM. The matchup features two teams with strong records this season, as the Eagles remain one of only two undefeated teams in the NFL alongside Buffalo.

The Broncos arrive after a decisive 28-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals and are led by head coach Sean Payton. Their offense is anchored by a productive running game, which gained nearly 200 yards against Cincinnati. Running backs J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey have helped Denver average 143 rushing yards per game, ranking fifth in the league. The team sometimes employs a six-man offensive line to bolster their ground attack.

Eagles defensive tackle Moro Ojomo commented on Denver’s approach: “Great offensive line, good scheme, they do a good job,” Ojomo said. “They’re going to run it. That’s what they like to do. We will be ready for the challenge because they’re going to keep coming at you.”

On offense, Philadelphia has shown flashes of dominance but is still searching for a complete performance across all four quarters. Running back Will Shipley said, “We’re trying to build something and that’s the goal. It’s there. We know it. We just have to put it all together.”

A key area of focus will be red zone efficiency, where the Eagles have converted all 11 opportunities so far this season without penalties or mistakes inside the 20-yard line. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith emphasized its importance: “It has been a positive for us. Not easy to score there and we’ve done the job and need to continue to do that,” Smith said. “We have had a good mix in the red zone and it has worked well for us. Now, the goal is to do that in the rest of the field and for the entire game. That’s what we are working on.”

Quarterback play will also be under scrutiny during Sunday’s contest. Jalen Hurts leads all NFL quarterbacks with more than 100 passing attempts without an interception this season and has posted multiple touchdown passes along with high passer ratings in recent games at home.

Hurts’ counterpart, Bo Nix of Denver, is entering his second season and helped lead his team into last year’s playoffs. Nix has demonstrated mobility and consistency on the road with multiple touchdowns and solid passer ratings.

Defensively, Philadelphia’s secondary leads the league by allowing opponents to complete only 56.9 percent of passes while excelling in red zone situations with low completion percentages and several takeaways.

Quinyon Mitchell recently earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against Tampa Bay.

Denver’s receiving corps includes Troy Franklin, Courtland Sutton, and Marvin Mims—targets that quarterback Nix distributes passes among frequently.

On defense, Denver features cornerback Patrick Surtain II, last year’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

In terms of special matchups up front, both teams’ lines will play crucial roles as Philadelphia seeks improvement in its own running game while facing a Denver defense that has not allowed any fourth-down conversions this year.

Since 2022, Philadelphia holds a record of 28-7 in one-possession games; every contest this season has ended within one possession.
