On Wednesday at the NovaCare Complex, Philadelphia Eagles players and coaches focused on preparing for their upcoming game against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos, currently holding a 2-2 record, are recognized for their strong defense and a productive offense that recently outperformed Cincinnati.

Cornerback Kelee Ringo discussed his approach to the changing demands of his position over three seasons with the Eagles. “At this level, you have to be ready for anything,” Ringo said. “That’s the nature of the business. I understand that it gets better later. I told myself that I have to be ready for whatever opportunity comes to me. Having my head down and letting something that has affected me previously, that can mess up your opportunity for whatever comes next. Continue to stay level-headed. It’s never over. I’m stronger because of what I’ve been through.

“There isn’t any good story that doesn’t include some adversity.”

Ringo was drafted in 2023 and has served as both a starter and reserve, also contributing on special teams. He started his first game of the current season last week against Tampa Bay and performed well according to Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio, who noted it is possible Ringo could start again while Adoree’ Jackson continues recovering from injury.

Ringo added about facing Denver: “You have to stay that way,” he said. “Denver has an explosive offense and Bo Nix can do a lot of things. I’ve played against him before and he makes plays, a lot like Baker Mayfield. Good receivers. This is going to be a big test and we’ll be ready.”

Wide receiver A.J. Brown addressed reporters about his role in the team’s offense: “I am happy here, very happy, and I also want to do anything I can to help us win, so I think it’s fair that I want the ball to help get us going,” Brown said. “Like last week against the Rams, I caught the SLUGGO (slant-and-go route that he ran) and got the offense going. The next play, touchdown pass to Dallas Goedert – the safety came over to my side to open the ball. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to want the ball. It’s not just for targets or anything or put numbers up. I see that we’re struggling and I want the ball in those times. When there are times when we can’t find the way, give me the ball. The game’s on the line, give it to me. I want that pressure. Put it on myself. I work hard for it.

“My teammates know that when the game is on the line, look at me. I want everybody in the stadium to know that. That’s not a secret. I’m not shying away from that. That’s where the frustration comes out. When we’re struggling, you can get the ball to me and I’m gonna open things up.Put it on my back.”

Linebacker Jihaad Campbell spoke about his ambitions as a rookie: “I wouldn’t doubt that.I was put on this Earth for a reason.God doesn’t make a mistake at all,” Campbell said.”He puts us through different challenges so we can test ourselves, so we can be our true selves.I will never get satisfied with anything in life, especially football.

“So I’m helping this team now and I’m doing OK.It is because the guys around me are helping so much. Our linebacker room is amazing and they’ve been so great to me.The coaching staff , second to none.Long way to go , but my goal is to be the best and I will never stop feeling that way.”

Running back Will Shipley returned from injury last week after missing two games due to rib issues. He contributed by averaging 33 yards per kickoff return against Tampa Bay.”You do what you can do and that’s nature of this team and this business ,” Shipley said .”At end day , I’m taking advantage every opportunity they put front me .We’ve got best running back league (Saquon Barkley )and he’s going take 90 percent snaps , whenever he needs spell ,A.J.(Dillon )has got his back.Whether it’s me or 29 (Dillon )going out there, either way we’re just ready opportunity we’re going make most it .”

Veteran outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith commented on adjusting since joining Philadelphia several weeks ago.”Great city loves its football ,” Smith said .”All see anywhere are Eagles shirts colors .It’s great ,for sure .”

Smith’s playing time increased each week following injuries within position group. He expressed readiness if called upon more often.”I’m learning what they want from position getting there ,”he said .”We have good room.A lot good young players. We know Denver’s offense strong –good running game ,they throw ball QB (Bo Nix )moves around back there.Good group overall. If have play more, fine with that .Whatever they need me do .”

The Eagles continue preparations aiming for improvement as they face another challenging opponent at home.
