The Philadelphia Eagles announced several roster changes on Tuesday. Long snapper Charley Hughlett and outside linebacker Ogbo Okoronkwo have been placed on Injured Reserve, opening spots on both the active roster and the practice squad.

Charley Hughlett joined the Eagles in free agency after a decade with the Cleveland Browns. He became an important part of the special teams unit, helping kicker Jake Elliott make all 12 extra points and four field goals so far this season. Braden Mann, who holds for Elliott, currently leads the league in gross punting average at 52.9 yards per punt.

Ogbo Okoronkwo was released by Cleveland earlier this year and signed with Philadelphia in July. He made the team’s initial 53-man roster after training camp but was inactive for three games before playing against Tampa Bay. With Nolan Smith and now Okoronkwo on Injured Reserve, the Eagles will rely more heavily on their remaining edge rushers. Jalyx Hunt and Za’Darius Smith started in Week 4, while Joshua Uche and Patrick Johnson also saw playing time. Azeez Ojulari, signed this offseason, may see increased responsibilities.

To fill Hughlett’s position, the Eagles signed Cal Adomitis to the active roster. Adomitis played three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2022 to 2024 and appeared in 49 games. The University of Pittsburgh graduate was named an All-American by the American Football Coaches Association in 2021 and is recognized as one of Pitt’s most accomplished long snappers.

In another move, rookie linebacker Lance Dixon was released from the practice squad. Dixon joined Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent from Toledo following the 2025 NFL Draft, spent preseason with the team, was waived during final cuts, then returned to the practice squad last week.
